Okay, so this is my second blog on this site. A few minutes ago, I was setting up my server, then I thought, "What should I post today on my blog?" Then I got an idea: Let's do Linux vs. Windows! Basically, today I am going to drop my point of view on this topic.

Freedom

  • Everyone loves freedom right? linux provides us the freedom. Which means you wont be tracked just because somebody wants to. The freedom to run the program as you wish, for any purpose. The freedom to study how the program works, and change it so it does your computing as you wish. Access to the source code is a precondition for this. The freedom to redistribute copies so you can help others.

Almost no malware and viruses

  • Viruses that affect Linux are still very rare. Because Linux is intrinsically more secure, and security problems that viruses could make use of are fixed very quickly.

Complete access of your system

  • Wanna completely change something? You can and you have a permission to do so. what if say "Close your eyes and think about what kind of customization you want" Yes, you can do it; that would be my answer. Take a look at how people are personalizing their setup.

I think I should stop writing the whole thing about Linux because it never ends. but I can give you a few key points.

  • Dont need a graphical inviroment? - Bingo, you can.
  • Dont want to update? - Just dont , because you can.
  • Wanna play? Lutrius and Steam is here.
  • Linux will be at the same speed after you installed it 10 seconds ago or 10 years ago, windows wont.
  • You can do almost anything in either GUI or terminal.
  • Wanna run a server?- You wont find anything more stable then linux.
  • Linux terminal is the most powerfull tool you can get your hands on.
  • Linux is lightweight.
  • Linux doesnt have a trash-pile registry.

Okay i think its enough for today. bye bye
